Reflections from UKREiiF 2025: Commercialising Sustainability in the Built Environment
We’re reflecting on our time at UKREiiF this May, and what a week it was.
This year’s event brought together thousands of voices from across the UK’s real estate and infrastructure ecosystem. From investors and developers to policymakers and local authorities, the energy was tangible. The message was clear: sustainability is no longer just a concept. It is a commercial imperative.
At Prop Sustainable, we had the opportunity to take part in energising conversations covering everything from EV charging and solar deployment to long-term asset strategy. Whether in panels or informal chats, the shift was unmistakable. Net zero is no longer a future goal. It is shaping decisions today.
A few highlights from our week:
Regional leadership in action
We heard directly from the Mayors of Manchester and West Yorkshire during a powerful session hosted by Be.EV. Both leaders shared ambitious, place-based plans to scale public EV charging across their regions. It was a strong example of how policy and infrastructure can move together.Reconnects and celebrations
Catching up with some of our longest-standing collaborators, including The Harkalm Group at their drinks reception, reminded us how valuable strong partnerships are in delivering real-world outcomes.A unified message
Across panels, roundtables and informal sessions, the sentiment was clear: EV infrastructure is now viewed as a strategic investment, not just a regulatory requirement. Landlords and asset managers are thinking about long-term value, dwell time, and tenant experience.
Looking ahead
We left UKREiiF energised by the momentum and more committed than ever to helping asset owners unlock value through EV charging, solar deployment and integrated sustainability planning.
If we didn’t get a chance to speak but you are exploring ways to future-proof your portfolio, we would love to connect.
Until next year.
